Thought for this week from Rev Tim
As we look back over 2019 and our 150 year anniversary, we have loads to give thanks to God for. For myself, the memories of the mission and festivities throughout 2019 are something that myself and Sarah will always look back on with fondness.
At this time, with the world going through the covid-19 pandemic, it is hard to make plans for the future. In most organisations this would be a real problem, but with our wonderful God, He has already got our future in His hands. It reminds me of a song I used to sing in my youth.
‘I know who holds tomorrow and he’ll guide me with His hand
With God things don’t just happen everything with Him are planned
So as I face tomorrow with it’s problems large and small
I’ll trust the God of miracles, give to Him my all’
The bible tells us “many are the plans in the heart of man, but it is the Lord’s purpose that will prevail”. (Proverbs 19:21). And what better and safer place could we be.
