£315 raised for Tearfund – October 2016
St John’s took part in Tearfund‘s “Big Bake” recently when church members donated home made cakes to sell at our toddler group morning on 14th October. Then on the 15th we held a “Stir-up Supper”, an evening of food, thought and fellowship when a variety of foreign dishes was served from pizza and German goulash to African bean stew. These two events raised an amazing £315.00 for Tearfund, so an enormous Thank You to all who gave in different ways to the cake sale and the supper.
Let’s keep encouraging each other to live more simply and sustainably so that others may “simply live”.
