Thought for the week from Tim

This year will bring us a very different Christmas than normal with our Church building being closed.   If we open the church, the rules state in tier 3, the tier that we are presently in, that we can go into church but  “you must not mingle with anyone outside of your household or support bubble” (Gov.uk website).

I know that one of the great things about St John’s is that it would be extremely difficult for us not to mingle, for that is what Church is – community – a community who love, care and want to support each other.   If we are not doing that, then we are not doing Church.

Myself and Sarah just want to say a big thank you to everyone, that you at St John’s really are a Church that we both want to be a part of because of that love, care and support that you have shown to us and show to each other.

My prayer is that we will grow even more in love and generosity towards each other and the town of Worksop, and that we will soon be back safely in our building where we can worship our wonderful life-giving God in community together.
